Organizations use Microsoft SharePoint to create websites. You can use it as a secure place to store, organize, share, and access information from any device. You can then invite members of our team to work on a site with you. All you need is a web browser, such as Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, Chrome, or Firefox.
SharePoint is not an individual Application like Microsoft Word or Excel, it is more like a Platform, that enables us to create powerful websites, where people can work together.
SharePoint is a product that is installed on a server, so unlike Word or Outlook, we do not install it on our local desktops. SharePoint lives on the server, and when we need to use it, we connect to that server.
