Synopsis
Course Overview
We’re excited to introduce something new to webCampus! Democracy in Action is our first micro-credential built around short On-the-Go (OTG) learning. Complete six OTGs, each 15 minutes or less, then choose a practical assignment that lets you apply what you’ve learned.
This micro-credential helps you understand how democracy works and how workers can influence the decisions that affect their jobs and communities. You’ll learn who makes decisions in Canada, understand your Charter rights, make more informed choices during elections, look beyond political promises, and explore how unions strengthen democracy.
After completing the OTGs, you choose from a selection of assignments that interests you most. Put your learning into action by exploring an issue, examining democracy in action, or taking a practical step to make a difference.
Whether politics is new to you or you want to strengthen your voice, this is a flexible and practical way to earn a micro-credential while building skills you can use in your workplace, union, and community.
