Politics Matter, Women Matter (Enhanced)

Synopsis

Course Overview

Politics affects our everyday lives; from the wages we earn and the care our families receive to the opportunities available in our communities. Yet many women remain underrepresented in the decisions that shape our future.

In Politics Matter, Women Matter, you'll explore how Canadian politics works, the history of women's political rights and the importance of women in democracy. You'll examine how political decisions affect working families, including childcare, parental leave and retirement. You'll also discover how power and personal values influence political choices.

Whether you're new to politics or looking to become more involved, this course will help you better understand the issues, make informed decisions and discover how your voice can make a difference.
