Microsoft Skype For Business

Course Overview

Skype for Business lets you connect with co-workers or business partners in your company or around the world.
  • Start conversations with IM, voice, or video calls.
  • See when your contacts are available online, in a meeting, or presenting.
  • Set industrial-strength security for meetings.
  • Broadcast online to a large audience.
  • Present your screen during meetings or give control to others.
The difference between Skype and Skype for business is Skype for Business allows up to 250 people on a single meeting or conference call. This makes it better for one-to-many presentations such as webinars, as well as full company meetings where you have more than 25 people. Skype for consumers is limited to 25 people on the meeting or call at one time.

NOTE: Microsoft announced that it's planning to end its Skype for Business Online service on July 31, 2021, and it is encouraging customers to use the Microsoft Teams service instead. New Office 365 customers will get directed toward Microsoft Teams starting on Sept. 1, 2019, the announcement added.

IMPORTANT: Exploring Digital Skills must be completed prior to enrollment in Skype for Business.
