On-the-Go: Breaking Barriers - International Women’s Day

Synopsis

Course Overview

Women's Canadian history is a rich narrative of trailblazing individuals and collective activism that has profoundly shaped the nation's social, political, and economic landscape. From early settlers and wartime contributors to suffragists and modern leaders, women have consistently broken barriers and fought for equality.

In this On-the-Go module, we will look at key moments, acknowledging broad changes over time and the diversity this demands. No single course can capture the full range of human experience, but this On-the-Go will introduce Canada’s on-going story of diversity, with a focus on women, from a woman’s perspective. It will provide snapshots of important moments in women’s history.
